I thought it was very well presented and easy to follow, it has a friendly feel. I have heard about Climate change and the dangers we face but this is the first time I feel I have been given information to put what is happening into perspective
A helpful way to think about global carbon emissions is to break it down to country level and then compare the population size to see how countries compare, on a per capita basis. We also need to take into account both emissions in the country, as well as imported emissions for goods and services that are bought from other countries.
It varies a lot, even between high consuming, wealthy developed countries. Some of it is down to emissions in everything we buy, use or do, how we get around, where our food comes from to the energy mix in each location. Itโs important to mention that rich western countries have contributed about 80% of all past emissions since humans started burning fossil fuels at scale.
We'll keep updating this with the latest data. For this version, this is the source (based on IEA analysis).
