Carbon, carbon everywhere!

A large chunk of carbon emissions are hidden - embodied - in pretty much everything we humans buy, use or do. It's not possible to reduce it all to zero right now. The carbon in all our stuff isn't obvious, so knowing where all the hidden emissions are helps you make choices to live your best climate life.

We're here to help you do exactly that. And, if you'd like to remove some or all of your carbon we've made a bespoke Carbon Removal Fund full of awesome ways to get emissions out of the atmosphere. The science shows that it will help to reduce the impact of climate change.

The carbon cost of our stuff

There's pretty much carbon emissions in everything all around us. It's built in to how raw materials are grown or extracted, how something is made or transported as well as how long and in what way they're used.

We're getting better at measuring this, though still have a lot way to go to either reduce these hidden emissions or remove the same amount that are released.

All costs below are in US Dollars at $150 per tonne of emissions.

`$750 is about the same as driving 12,000 miles (19,200km) in a gasoline/petrol car`

Remove 5 tonnes

`$1500 is about the same as buying a shiny new car (either EV or gasoline)`

Remove 10 tonnes
