Climate Action and Carbon Removal Progress in 2022

A big thanks for your support, attention and interest in 2022. We truly appreciate it. It drives us forward every day.

This year we launched a portfolio of high quality carbon removal and welcomed awesome humans from over 60 countries around the world onto one of our four climate courses focused on reducing planet-heating emissions. The fight to tackle human-caused climate change knows no borders and neither do we.

Thanks to you all, we've more than doubled the number of people we've reached this year. That's twice the amount of humans that have engaged and completed our science-backed climate courses.

Can we count that as doubling our "impact"...?

In all seriousness 2022 has been great. It's a solid foundation on which to continuing building a climate company that is solely focused on the amount of planet heating emissions either reduced or removed.

Our original thesis to be all backed by what the science shows us we need to do to keep average temperature increases to below 2 degrees celsius continues to inform and inspire our work. As does the idea that the size of this requires patience and a helluva lot of research, combined with constantly compounding progress towards the audacious goal of preventing the kind of runaway climate change that will impact everyone and everything on the planet. Holding on to the important belief that we can and will succeed.

As we were unable to find something like it, this year saw the launch of our first Carbon Removal Portfolio. This will be a cornerstone of the work we will continue building on. Lots of developments to come in the new year.

While removing carbon alone isn't the total answer or a silver bullet in solving the climate crisis, it is going to be a key tool to develop and invest in over the coming years and decades. Combined with large emissions reductions and decarbonization it holds huge potential.
